Beta terms of use

Eligibility and emergencies

Accounts are for people age 13 or older. Do not use Spruce for an emergency, imminent danger, or a situation requiring immediate police, fire, medical, utility, or other emergency response. Call 911 or the appropriate emergency service.

What the beta does

Spruce helps residents describe civic concerns, review sourced responsibility suggestions, publish approved public cases, and authorize reviewed public accountability outreach.

The beta's X outreach is not an official government filing, service request, legal notice, or guarantee that an agency or public official will act. Official municipal integrations are disabled unless a later, separately disclosed service is authorized.

Your responsibilities

Provide information you reasonably believe is accurate, respect other people, protect private or sealed information, and review every public preview before approval. Do not impersonate, harass, threaten, dox, manipulate votes or points, upload unlawful material, or use Spruce to target an ordinary employee or private person.

Publication and correction

A publication approval covers the exact material shown. Material corrections, new recipients, reposts, nudges, and escalations require new authority. You may revoke an undispatched X phase; after its point of no return, Spruce uses a visible correction or takedown process instead of silently rewriting history.

Community evidence and points

Votes affect discovery prominence only. They do not change issue facts, responsibility, official status, evidence, or whether an issue is Spruced. X engagement never creates points or civic truth. Scout never independently marks an issue Spruced.

Moderation and account protection

Spruce may restrict content or accounts under the community standards, preserve evidence needed for safety or legal review, and provide notice and appeal where appropriate. Keep your device and Sign in with Apple access secure and report suspected compromise promptly.

Changes and service availability

The beta may pause a queue, geography, model, or outreach capability when staffing, safety, policy, security, or evidence gates are not met. Material terms changes will be dated and presented before continued trust-bearing use when required.
